GIRLBOMB took me twenty years to write.
It started with the journals I kept while I was in high school. I was an erratic journaler, but I hung on to every page I wrote. I also kept the notes my friends and I passed in school, and the calendars upon which I summarized my exploits. I consider these archives to be a kind of “pre-first draft” of the book.
Here are some of the behind-the-book archives that I used when writing GIRLBOMB. I’ve labeled some of these archives with page numbers from the paperback edition of the book, so you can see where the journals and photos fit into the text.
